Why Zutility app says Virus/Malware detected

Google was marking our file with a false positive, but this has been sorted. On some systems, you may get a warning during installation. This is normal you will just need to allow it as software from a trusted source if you would like to use it. The zutility app creates text files to help you update your timestamp.

  • For Windows User:
    - If you're using Windows PC please go to your Windows security setting and turn off  Windows Defender Smart Screen and other settings that will block unwanted app to download and install. After you have downloaded and installed the app, please make sure to turn ON them.

  • For MAC User :
    - Mac has a built-in security feature called Gatekeeper. If you try to install an app from a third-party developer that is not on the App Store, Gatekeeper won’t be able to recognize the app publisher and at the same time won’t be able to verify that this app is free from malware.
    - The Gatekeeper settings can be found in System Preferences > Security & Privacy >
General. The Gatekeeper options are located beneath “All apps downloaded from:” with
    the choice of “Anywhere”.
    - If no "Anywhere" option please disable Gatekeeper.  Open a terminal by pressing Cmd + Space , enter “Terminal” and open the application. Run the following command: sudo spctl --master-disable . Enter your administrator password when requested. Gatekeeper is now disabled permanently. Please make sure to turn ON after installing the app.
